In "All Summer In A Day", there is a school full of kids who are all living on the planet Venus. Since they are farther away from the Sun as Earth is, they can only see the Sun for one hour every seven years! So, all of the kids are in the classroom and the clouds are out like they always are and everyone is very bored. Then little girl named Margot tells the other kids in her class about what the Sun looks like since she remembers how it looked when she was a little kid. Then all of the other kids, who have never seen the Sun for themselves, don't believe a word she says and then bully her and eventually lock her in a janitor's closet in the basement just as the Sun is about to come out. When the kids' teacher comes to tell them to come outside to play in their hour of sunlight, they forget all about Margot and leave her in the closet. Then, as it starts to rain again, the kids remember about Margot and feel bad about what they have done. The Sun has come and gone, and Margot have completly missed it. Finally, the kids walk to the locked closet and let Margot out.
